Rising Star: A Business Profile Of Evans Asante
My name is Evans Asante. I completed High School at Achimota Senior High and I am currently studying Physician Assistantship at Central University.
I’m a student and so I depend on my parents but I support myself with my business. I see myself to be an entrepreneur. I have started a small-scale fashion business.
I design and put African prints on already –made shirts and makes sure the shirts looks more African and simple as well.
I got inspired by the new fashion trends and how some celebrities rock the African wear.
I don’t really have a target market. But I see that my little business is also trying to portray our African culture in the sense that LeleThingX is not complete without an African print design I place on a plain shirt.
I have a team when it comes to the financing. A good team which always makes sure that the business is going on well.
There are few challenges such as time constraint.
Since the business isn’t something my team and I do for living, we really find hard to give it much time.
In the next 5 years I see that my business is going to be a big one and will be able to meet the demand for my products.
If given the opportunity to speak with the president, I would inform him that he should give some attention to the people in Ghana who are doing small businesses on their own, in the sense that more opportunities should be given to them so they could do more and earn more. Not all the money is in school.
